Gold Foiling

Gold foil is hand applied to each book and will vary from one book to the other. Gold foiling should be treated with care and any excessive rubbing or scratching on the books may damage or remove pieces of the foiling. Please treat all gold foil items with care. The provided clear archival box is the perfect place to store your books when not in use to keep them pristine!

Silk ribbon

Note that silk ribbon has a tendency to fray on the edges and will do so with continuous use, this is a beautiful quality of natural silk ribbon, but if you wish for your ribbons to not fray you can be extra gentle with them. You can use a hair straightener to smooth out any unwanted creases should they occur.

On the inside

Each book comes with 6 sheets of smooth white text weight paper included on the inside of the books so you can write down your vows. 

Calligraphy

The front of each book is adorned with my personal calligraphy. Please see the photos to get a sense of the calligraphy style and color of the ink used on the books. No substitutions or changes can be made to the calligraphy for these books.  

The Paper

Blush and Blue Design's heirloom vow books are made with fine hand-made cotton paper that has a gorgeous texture that is sure to make your book stand out.  Because of the handmade nature of this paper, no two books are alike. Your books may have small flaws, I like to call them beauty marks, from the paper-making process that may be seen such as bumps, colorful fibers, or bubbles. Each piece of paper is a work of original art and should be treated as such. Because of the delicate nature of this paper please handle your new books with care and avoid getting them wet.
